Analytics

We use Clicky to count visits and see which pages people read. Cookies are turned off, so nothing is stored on your device, and we never sell or share the data.

Maps and photos

Map tiles load from OpenStreetMap, and lighthouse photos load from Wikimedia Commons. Those services see your IP address, as with any web request.

Tour listings

Lighthouse and state pages show tours from Viator. The tour list is loaded in your browser, and if you book a tour after clicking through, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Viator may set cookies on its own site to track the booking; their privacy policy covers what they collect.

Lighthouse pages show a hotel map from Stay22. If you book a stay through that map, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Stay22 and the booking sites it sends you to may set cookies to track the booking; their privacy policy covers what they collect.
